When you’re remodeling your petite kitchen but not changing the size, let these top tips make your culinary life a piece of cake.
Cull the clutter. If you live alone or have a small family, how many plates, glasses and utensils do you truly need? You needn’t go so far as to toss your beloved grandmother’s set of gorgeous fine china; just don’t let it take up precious kitchen cabinet space.
Look up. Think of all of the valuable drawer and cabinet space you’ll gain when you hang your cooking pots, pans, steamers, woks and utensils from an overhead rack!
Arrange wisely. You would be surprised at how much can fit into cupboards and drawers that are neat and orderly. The means are simple: hooks, racks, shelves, a slim pull-out spice rack and draw dividers. In other words, a place for everything, and everything in its place.
Recess some shelves. Put them on wall space that’s slim or awkwardly shaped; they can hold practical items, decorative objects or a combination of both.
